Walking events and social clubs to promote health, wellbeing, community, and raise funds for good causes.

Inspired to help others struggling to speak out about their mental health and also to create a fitting legacy to our good friend Simon, Walk and Talk was formed and has grown into an integral mental health and wellbeing project for hundreds of people within Lancashire.

I just want to say if it wasn't for this group and Maj in particular for setting it up I don't know where I would be, I still have up and down days and I love the fact when I am ready to talk I can and when I just want to sit and listen I can. I honestly don't think without this group of actually seeing people going through hard times and opening up I would feel confident to do the same and I am almost certain I wouldn't have survived these that past 12 months. Thank you so much Maj for setting up this group and also the lads that attend for making not just me but everyone feel welcomed.

Just want to say a massive thank you to Maj for everything he does for the lads who come to the Men’s Talk Group. The time, effort, and heart you put into it means more than you probably realise. You’ve created something special — a place where men feel comfortable to open up, be heard, and support one another. You’re a real inspiration to the Pendle community and, more importantly, a top lad and a true friend to many. What you’re doing matters, and it’s making a genuine difference. Respect always.

I’ve never experienced banter in a peer support group before, but this is what I keep coming back for. It’s great to be able to get things off your chest, get some support and advice and end up having a laugh about it all with the lads.

I joined the group when I was at a low point in my life just broken up with a partner living in my uncles back room without a penny to my name starting all over again. Coming to these meeting helped my mental health by being able to speak out loud about how it was all affecting me mentally etc which you can't always express to your friends or don't know how too because of the whole male bravado and being too proud to reach out . Its also uplifting to see people doing well in the group who were struggling before.

I came to Men Talk because I had to leave a group as my son was to old to go anymore. I have been made to feel welcome from the moment I walked into the room were they were meeting. I have now been going for a good while and feel that everybody in the group has improved my mental state.

As a new dad with issues around neurodivergences, mental health and addiction, it's really hard to find support that actually helps. Going to Men Talk gave me solidarity, non-judgemental listening, confidentiality and an opportunity to share some food and a bit of banter with other blokes who are dealing with stuff too ACTUALLY HELPS!

I did my first walk on Sunday 19th May from thatch and thistle to the top of Pendle hill and back again & I can’t even describe how amazing it were. I’ve met a lovely bunch of people who are now friends for life & Maj is an absolute legend and the most down to earth guy, you can definitely count on. Can’t wait for the next walk, so come and join Walk and Talk, anyone is welcome & it’s free. Here to support Mental Health 💚
